Position Overview
The Kiosk Supervisor supports the achievement of sales goals for stores/SBAMs that operate remote Seasonal Businesses. They assist the SBAM/store management in the recruiting, training and development of staff members for these locations. In addition, the Kiosk Supervisor is responsible for providing personalized, attentive customer service by using sales skills and product knowledge to provide appropriate products, services and information and by following company standards. A successful Kiosk Supervisor has superior customer service skills, exceptional leadership abilities and effective problem solving and decision-makings skills. This is a temporary position based on business needs during the holiday season.

Responsibilities Specific to the Kiosk Supervisor Include, But Are Not Limited To:
  • Support the achievement of Company sales and profitability goals by driving the company programs and initiatives and creating a sales culture.
  • Support GMs/SMs/SBAM with proactively recruiting, interviewing and selecting talent to drive overall results for seasonal businesses.
  • Kiosks that are in mall locations with a Borders Express or Waldenbooks will work report to store management. Kiosks that do not a have base store will be considered a remote location and the Kiosk Supervisor would report directly to the SBAM.
  • Maintain operational standards by preparing and participating in install and takedown procedures, administering product transfers in coordination with GM/SM and SBAM and ensuring all receiving, sorting and storing policies and procedures are followed.
  • Create an environment where associates are passionate about providing excellent customer service using the GREAT service and selling standards
  • Conduct specified training activities and monitoring timely compliance, monitoring the training and development of seasonal staff.
  • Monitor productivity and performance of hourly staff and/or assigned teams.
  • Complete weekly schedules using the hour’s matrix and overlay effectively to staff the seasonal business appropriately in comparison to the traffic patterns.
  • Cultivate an environment where diversity is valued and incorporated into areas such as staffing, inventory, and visual presentation.
  • Ensure understanding and compliance of all merchandising and marketing standards to impact profitability.
  • Ensure and monitor seasonal business’ adherence to Company standards with respect to loss prevention, audit, shrink, hours, inventory management, budgets and all operational procedures.
  • Ensure new seasonal business compliance with company policies and procedures, general governmental regulations, employment, physical maintenance and safety laws (FMLA, OSHA, ADA and other legal issues), and completion of appropriate incident reports.
  • Perform the opening and closing procedures of the store.
  • Complete cash reconciliation and administrative duties daily
  • Participate in meetings and other projects as needed.
