The Online Sales Representative-Team Lead will act as the team lead for the interactive department and will work consultatively with sales representatives throughout the division. This position is responsible for online advertising selling to all categories of business. The representative is expected to build the account base by prospecting for new business accounts as well as maintain the needs of current account base. The position must process online advertising, resolve credit issues and other customer requests as well as work with print sales representatives to build online business.

Job Requirements

College degree preferred. One or more years of solid online sales experience preferred. Ideal candidate will have solid history or prospecting and cold calling, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint products and an understanding of online advertising. Required:

  • A college degree
  • Strong technical skills to carry out the web and audio production duties.
  • High level of motivation to grow skills through hands-on experience and on-the-job training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• On a quarterly basis, conducts formative and summative performance reviews for both asynchronous and synchronous online courses to promote excellence in online instruction
• Responsible for monitoring faculty performance and using evaluative data to drive improvement and results relative to faculty engagement, student engagement, continuation, and retention.
• Relies on evaluative data to provide quarterly feedback and coaching to faculty to promote instructional success, student and faculty engagement, and student continuation
• Records findings, recommendations, and all other necessary documentation in a centralized system
• Uses data from Net Promoter Score survey and Student Opinion polls to improve the quality of instruction of faculty who teach online.
• Works in collaboration with campus-based operations to ensure that faculty are responsive to student inquiry and provide high quality instruction to all students
• Uses LMS-generated reports to monitor overall instructor activity and presence in his/her assigned courses in a term
• Conducts virtual coaching sessions for online faculty to provide opportunities for continuous improvement and development
• Works in partnership with the Office of Scheduling to maintain scheduling lists and reports that deal specifically with faculty substitutions and/or replacements
• Conducts annual faculty evaluations for all full-time faculty
• Works in partnership with the Office of Student Affairs to assist in fair and efficient faculty-student problem resolution
• Teaches one course per academic term
• Attends departmental and other university meetings, conferences, and workshops as and when needed, or as assigned

Education:
• Terminal degree in Literature, Rhetoric and Composition or JD from an accredited university

Work Experience:
• At least three years of work experience in an online higher-education setting
• Prior experience working in a team environment mandatory with virtual team experience preferred
• Prior supervisory experience mandatory with experience managing a large number of employees preferred
• Experience teaching adult college students in an online environment
